The Evening Express reports that Scottish Premiership outfit Aberdeen have turned down a third bid from Sky Bet Championship side Cardiff City for the services of Jonny Hayes.

Bluebirds manager Neil Warnock had lodged two £500,000 bids for the 29 year-old earlier this month, both in different structures, but it is understood that the south Wales club upped it to £600,000 before the Dons rejected it again.

Jonny Hayes has been with Aberdeen since 2012 when signing on from Inverness Caledonian Thistle, the winger has attracted a range of interest from the Championship in January but Cardiff are the only ones to act upon their keenness.

Warnock is looking for reinforcements as he looks to ship is side further away from a relegation scrap, with the team currently eight points adrift of the drop.

It is unknown as to whether Cardiff City will submit a fourth bid for Jonny Hayes or turn their attention to another target - they had an offer rejected by Blackburn Rovers for 30 year-old Liam Feeney.

Bluebirds fans, is Hayes really worth that? Would Neil Warnock be wise or idiotic to lodge another attempt, or should he chase someone else? Does the club need to strengthen elsewhere before tomorrow's deadline? Let us know below!
