West Brom ensured they remained in the picture for automatic promotion with a 3-2 comeback win over rivals Birmingham City.

A late Jake Livermore strike meant it was another win for the Baggies since parting ways with manager Darren Moore, and they sit just four points off the automatic promotion places heading into the weekend fixtures for other clubs.

The Baggies had been many people's favourites to cement a return to the Premier League, but a run of poor form under former manager Moore, which included losses to both Sheffield United and Leeds, meant their hopes of the top two seemed to be fading.

A solid run of wins though under caretaker boss James Shan has potentially propelled their promotion charge back into life.

With that then, we asked our writers here at FLW if they feel West Brom can get themselves back in promotion contention or if they've just left it that bit too late...

Jacob Potter
"They’ve left it too late.
"It was an impressive win but they have left it far too late to break into the top two.
"I fancy them to win the play-offs though if they build on this latest result."
Chris Gallagher
"I don't think so.
"They're still relying on two of the three sides slipping up a fair bit and I can't see that happening the way they are playing right now.
"The Baggies will have to settle for the play-offs."
Jay Taylor
“They have the slightest chance - but only if Leeds slip up against Millwall. “To be honest, If Leeds slip up once and Albion capitalise then it’s game on. “You can’t rule out West Brom fully as anything is still possible. “But they are within sight of Sheffield United and Bielsa’s team after last night’s win.”
