Birmingham City's season is in danger of falling apart, with Garry Monk's side on a run of four straight defeats heading into the international break, plus the threat of a 12 point deduction for breaching FFP regulations, as reported on talkSPORT.

A 12 point deduction would plummet the Blues into the midst of a relegation battle with only eight games of the season remaining, as they would only have 38 points, just two above Rotherham in the final relegation spot.

The Blues' run-in is extremely tough as well with Leeds United, West Brom, Sheffield United and Derby County still in promotion/play-off contention, while their other fixtures are against Wigan, Reading, Rotherham and Ipswich Town all of whom are in the midst of the relegation battle.

So is the threat of relegation real for Birmingham if they suffer a points deduction?

We discuss.......

Gary Hutchinson

“I can’t see them being relegated, but you never know.

“It’s a weird situation, isn’t it?

“Thinking you’re playing for the top six one minute, then being close to the bottom.

“If the FA were going to do it they should have been much quicker.”

Jacob Potter

"They’re in trouble.

"Birmingham will only be two points adrift of the relegation places if the 12 point deduction is true.

"The players won’t be in the right mindset to fight to retain their Championship status after an impressive season this year."

Jay Taylor

“I think they will surely be in a dog fight if the points get taken off.

“It would leave them two points outside the bottom three.

“The half of their remaining fixtures are against sides in the relegation scrap so it would be an intense end of the season should it happen.”
