Though the form book usually goes out the window for a derby fixture, the gulf between Norwich City and Ipswich Town is such, that this old adage may not apply here, as the East Anglian Derby takes centre stage this weekend in the Championship.

Whilst Norwich sit on top of the table, Ipswich are the league basement side in 24th spot, some 39 points behind their East Anglian neighbours, having only won three times so far this season.

So can Ipswich pull off a shock in the Old Farm Derby?

We discuss.....

Jacob Potter

"They’re going to get absolutely hammered.

"Ipswich have been awful this season, and I’m yet to see much of a change since Lambert took charge of the team.

"I couldn’t name a worse time to play Norwich either, and I expect the Canaries to have no problem in dispatching of their local rivals with ease."

Louie Chandler

"Nope.

"I know Norwich have looked slightly flakey on occasion but they are a top six side.

"Ipswich are destined for relegation and there is only one winner here."

Jay Taylor

“Form goes out the window in the derby’s, but I think both are polar opposites that I honestly cannot see anything other than a Norwich win.

“With the lines of Vrancic, Pukki, Rhodes et all, they have a squad that is too strong for Paul Lambert’s men at present.

“If they are able to win, then it will be one of the shocks of the season.

“But that is all conjecture as it’s nothing but Norwich for me.”

Gary Hutchinson

“Absolutely.

“It’ll be a big ask, but derby matches differ from normal games.

“The form book goes out of the window and you’re left with passion and fight.

“Put it this way, if they can’t get up for this game they’re making trips to Southend and Gillingham next season.”
