Leeds United left it mightily late to bag a point against Middlesbrough yesterday to keep their promotion hunt on track.

Kalvin Phillips was the hero as he notched some 11 minutes into injury time, and it could prove to be a vital goal as Marcelo Bielsa looks to guide the Whites into the top flight following an excellent campaign so far.

The goal was a sign that Leeds could well indeed be up the task of scrapping at the top of the table for vital points, and it could be this sort of attitude which seperates them from the rest in the end.

But what did the late show from Leeds actually tell us? Did it prove to us they are the real deal or should they not be getting into that position in the first place?

We asked our FLW writers to give us their thoughts on the late equaliser...

Gary Hutchinson

“Nothing we didn’t already know.

“They’re fighters, they don’t give up and they’ve got quality in the side.

“We knew that before.

“They need to be clinical though and not let games get to a stage where they need to fight back.”

George Harbey

"You just can’t write them off.
"They have been on a frustrating run of form of late, but that late equaliser could spark them back into life.
"The spirit at Elland Road is fantastic."
Lee Connor
"It does indeed show they can keep going to the end, but it's going to end up catching up on them this sort of thing.
"Their style means they are all guns blazing as it is, so how much energy are they exerting constantly fighting back last this?
"I still fancy them to be in the top two, but they need to be very careful indeed".
