Ipswich Town head into this weekend's Championship fixtures knowing that even a win against Reading on Saturday, may not be enough to save the Tractor Boys from inevitable relegation, with Paul Lambert's side, nine points from safety as we enter the final 12 games of the season.

With only three wins to their name so far this campaign, the omens are not good for Ipswich, but with Reading coming into the match, themselves struggling to stay out of the drop zone, it is bound to be a cagey affair.

But if Ipswich lose this weekend are they all but relegated?

We discuss.....

Jacob Potter

"They’re already down in my opinion.

"But if they are to have any chance of retaining their Championship status, they need to be winning games like this.

"Reading are in a poor run of form and Ipswich need to pick up three points this weekend.

"Otherwise they’re down."

Jay Taylor

“I think they are down already, but defeat this weekend could be the final nail in the coffin for their stay in the Championship.

“Town are nine points adrift, and it could well be 12 by the close of play with 11 games to go.

“It would take a monumental effort to stay up, but a loss would mean they would be League One bound.”

Gary Hutchinson

“They are anyway.

“The numbers say otherwise, but it would be a remarkable escape if they did it.

“Without Will Keane they stood no chance anyway.”

Alfie Burns

“They’ve got to pick up some points and fast.

“Even victory this weekend doesn’t guarantee they’ll be close, though.

“Lambert needs to spark some inspiration from somewhere.”
