Millwall have enjoyed a strong first half to the season, recording several big wins and currently sit nine points ahead of the relegation zone.

After winning promotion from League One through the play-offs many observers felt the Lions could face a tough test to maintain their Championship status.

However, it’s so far so good. Neil Harris’ men have performed extremely well and on many occasions they haven’t got the points they’ve deserved.

Fine margins, both defensively and in the final third have cost Millwall a lot of points that may have left them in a much more comfortable position.

So, the January window could be key in adding that extra quality. But, is that what we expect from the Londoners when the market opens?

We take a look…

Alfie Burns

Neil Harris’ squad work extremely hard for him, and for me, it is hard to see Millwall getting dragged into a relegation fight, but for a major slump in form over the second-half of the season.

However, Harris will want to make sure Millwall aren’t sucked into a battle and they'll look to make one or two additions to his playing squad.

Adding a little bit more quality could be key to that, and also offer the Lions the opportunity to climb and challenge for the top-half of the table.

Adam Simeoni

Neil Harris will be relatively content with his squad, but may look to secure a couple of loan men in the new year.

The Lions could do with another striker, with none of their forwards shining this year, so Harris could explore the Premier League loan market to procure a talented front man.

George Dagless

It'll consolidate their good work.

I don't think Neil Harris needs to change things too much as the squad is settled and doing well.

He might look to add an extra bit of stardust but not upsetting the apple cart has to be his main aim in this window.
