QPR fans have endured a fairly tumultuous season following a poor start on the pitch, coupled with major issues off it, all conspiring to make life very difficult for Steve McClaren at Loftus Road.

In amongst a very difficult climate, the loan signing of Nakki Wells from Burnley and Tomer Hemed from Brighton in the summer on a season long loan have proved to be a very valuable acquisitions for Rangers.

But would QPR be in the bottom three if they didn't have Wells or Hemed?

We discuss........

Jay Taylor

“They would be swimming with the fishes of those two were not at the club.

“Wells and Hemed have saved QPR’s season – so far.

“I do not doubt that they would be deeply entrenched in a fight at the foot of the table if the loan duo were not at Loftus Road.”

Jacob Potter

"They’d be in serious trouble.

"The pair have scored some crucial goals this season and without their contribution, QPR wouldn’t have an attacking outlet.

"QPR struggled before they arrived, and they’ve turned a poor season around that’s for sure."

Gary Hutchinson

“Not necessarily.

“Hemed, perhaps. Wells hasn’t impressed me as much, but Hemed has been important.

“Would someone else have stepped up? Hard to tell.”

Alfie Burns

“That duo helped steady the ship earlier in the season, but to say that they’ve kept QPR afloat so far would be unfair.

“Luke Freeman has had another huge impact, as have a few others.

“Wells and Hemed have been impressive in their own way, but I think somebody else would’ve done what they did if they weren’t around.”
