Leyton Orient talisman Macauley Bonne is reportedly attracting interest from a host of Championship clubs.

Leeds United, Nottingham Forest, Derby County and Norwich City are all reportedly interested in signing the 23-year old, who has netted 16 times in 21 games for the National League side this term.

Here, we discuss whether the Zimbabwe international would be a good signing for table-toppers Norwich...

Gary Hutchinson

No, Bonne just isn't ready to make that step up yet.

He's quick and has an eye for a finish, but there's a huge difference between Boreham Wood's defence and Birmingham's, or Harrogate and Hull.

It would be career suicide to make such a huge jump right now.

George Harbey

Bonne may be on fire in the National League, but there is a huge gulf in class between the fifth tier and second tier.

His goalscoring record for Colchester in the Football League is far from inspiring, and there are surely better options out there for Norwich?

Steer clear.

Jacob Potter

They simply don't need him.

With Jordan Rhodes and Teemu Pukki being in excellent form this season, why are they even wanting another striker?

If Pukki leaves in January then it could be a possibility but would he be ready for the step up to the Championship? I think not.

Louie Chandler

It would be a sensible move.

With Rhodes only on loan they will likely need another striking option and Bonne could well be the man.

However, if they have plans on being in the Premier League then it may not be the most positive move.
