Middlebrough manager Tony Pulis has a battle on his hands if he wishes to sign Ipswich Town defender Jonas Knudsen, with Stoke City also keen on the 26-year-old Danish player, as reported in the EADT.
Knudsen has been at Portman Road since 2015 having signed from Esbjerg fB and this season has made 23 appearances for the Championship strugglers.
So would Knudsen be a good fit at the Riverside?
“They simply don’t need him.
“Knudsen is no better of an option that Middlesbrough already have available to them this season.
“It would be a waste of wages for the promotion chasing side, and they should steer clear of a move for the Ipswich full-back.”
“A perfect Pulis player.
“Knudsen is a solid, reliable defender and has a long throw as well!
“He’s made for this Middlesbrough and would be a good addition.”
“I don’t think this is a player that Middlesbrough need, despite his versatility to play at the back.
“Knudsen can operate in midfield but I think that Pulis has lost the plot and doesn’t know what he actually needs.
“It’s clear to everyone else, pace on the flanks to replace Adama Traore, it’s that simple.”
