West Brom's unbeaten start to the season continues, with their latest draw against Fulham leaving the Baggies in sixth place in the Championship, just three points adrift of current leaders Leeds United.

Baggies boss Slaven Bilic has had to cope over the opening weeks of the season without centre-back Ahmed Hegazi, who is still sidelined following ankle surgery over the summer and who was not involved with the U23's this week, despite reports earlier in the month that the 28-year-old would be involved.

So should West Brom look to rush Hegazi back?

We discuss........

Chris Gallagher

"They shouldn't take the risk.

"Even though it appears as though Kyle Bartley and Semi Ajayi have had decent seasons individually, the harsh reality is that Albion haven't kept a clean sheet this season.

"Clearly, that's not good enough and bringing back a proven player like Hegazi could boost the rest of the team and help them record more shutouts.

"However, we're only in September, so rushing a player back, into a side that are unbeaten, would make no sense at all. They need to be patient and he will still have a role to play as the season progresses."

Toby Wilding

"I don't think they do at all.

"West Brom do seem to have been pretty solid at the back all season, with Semi Ajayi and Kyle Bartley showing the foundations of an effective central defensive partnership in the absence of Hegazi.

"You feel therefore that they would be better off taking their time with Hegazi, making sure he is fully fit before sending him back into the first team, rather than rushing him back and potentially risking another long term injury to the Egyptian.

"With the Baggies now the only unbeaten side left in the division, it does seem as though they are doing plenty right this season, even without the man who looked set to be something of a defensive lynch-pin for them this season."

Chris Thorpe

"Personally, I think that Bilic is well covered in central defence, with Kyle Bartley and Semi Ajayi both performing well so far this season.

"Hegazi obviously provides a very good option for the Baggies, however I believe he will have to work hard to get back into the side.

"I think the best natural course of action is to give him some minutes with the under 23 side before throwing him into first team action.

"Results have been steady so far since Bilic took over, so I do not think they will be in any rush to get Hegazi back just yet."
