That interest seems to have been firmed up this weekend too, with Chelsea reportedly making a £1m bid for the youngster.

The Robins however are hoping to land in the region of £2m for Semenyo, but we here at FLW think that fee leaves a lot open for discussion.

With that, we asked our writers here to give us their thoughts on if Bristol City should be holding out for more...

Gary Hutchinson

“In this day and age, yes.

“There’s millions floating around in the Premier League. Chelsea wouldn’t miss a couple more.

“It’s only right a side who have never been in the Prem get compensated properly for their players.”

George Harbey

"Whilst the big boys are interested, I think Bristol City should hold out for as much money as possible.
"Semenyo looks to be a really exciting player on paper, and definitely has a bright future ahead of him.
"They should demand more."
Lee Connor

"To put it frankly, yes, they should.

"If the Premier League teams want to snap up the best talent, then they should pay the going rate.

"£2m is peanuts for a player nowadays, and the Robins need to be asking for far more before they even consider selling".
