It is a concerning time to be a Sheffield Wednesday fan after last season's disappointing mid-table finish.

It came just a year after they had reached the playoffs and just two years after they were beaten in the final.

After the sacking of Carlos Carvalhal midway through last season, incumbent manager Jos Luhukay never really got them going either.

So you would have thought that a busy transfer window was in store for the Owls this summer.

Well, not exactly.

So far no new players have been brought in, whilst first choice players Jack Hunt and Jordan Rhodes have both left the club.

Should the Hillsborough faithful be concerned at their club's lack of action this window?

We discuss...

Alfie Burns

The focus needs to be on getting players out of Hillsborough, which Wednesday seem to be doing.

Luhukay’s squad doesn’t need an overhaul, but it needs freshening up.

I feel like the Owls have time to do that still this summer.

George Dagless

They should be.

The Owls aren't expected to do much this summer anyway but it will still be on fans' minds that they have not signed anyone of note.

The squad isn't terrible anyway but a couple of new faces at least would be a good idea.

Jay Williams

Sheffield Wednesday have not been able to spend yet because of Financial Fair Play regulations.

If they can ship someone out, then they can kick-start their spending and I am sure Jos Luhukay has a number of targets he is keeping his eye on.

But after missing out on Frederico Venancio, can the Owls get their top choices?

Gary Hutchinson

Not so much, they have a strong squad of players but suffered last season through injuries.

If there had been multiple departures, maybe they should worry, but so far the core of a very good team has stayed together.

Chris Gallagher

Not just yet.

With their injured players returning, the Owls don't need wholesale changes this summer. Instead, it should be quality over quantity and they may have to be patient to get the right players.
