Derby County manager Frank Lampard has a battle on his hands if he wishes to hold onto 32-year-old midfielder Craig Bryson after Kilmarnock launched a bid to take the veteran back to Rugby Park, as reported in the Daily Express.

Bryson was previously at Kilmarnock between 2007 and 2011 scoring 12 goals in 118 appearances for the SPFL side, before moving to Pride Park in June 2011.

So should Derby be looking to renew Bryson's contract this summer amid Kilmarnock interest?

We discuss.....

Jacob Potter

"They should be looking to move him on.

"Bryson doesn’t have age on his side and Derby need to rebuild next season, especially if they win promotion to the top flight.

"A move elsewhere would be the best move for both parties."

Louie Chandler

"I don't think so.

"As good a servant as he has been to Derby, I think it is right that Lampard continues to refresh his side wherever he can.

"That would probably mean thanking Bryson and moving him on."

Gary Hutchinson

“I’m not sure.

“Without sounding harsh, if Kilmarnock are interested he’s not at the level needed to be a top flight player.

“I think it’s best to let him move on.”

Jay Taylor

“Bryson has been a loyal servant to Derby, but he is 32-years-old now, and I would consider letting him go.

“He isn’t getting any younger, and Lampard has plenty of senior players in his side that will be able to cope with the loss.

“Let Killy have him; he won’t feature much for the Rams next year anyway if he stayed at Pride Park.”
