Daniel James is a player who is surely set for a big money move this summer and probably a move to the Premier League as well.
The Swansea winger has burst onto the scene this season with his electric pace making clubs sit up and take notice, as well as scoring three goals and assisting nine more too.
Manchester United and Liverpool were two clubs linked with the 21-year-old, by the MailOnline, with both apparently keen on bringing James in.
However, according to Wales Online, neither of the Premier League giants have not expressed any interest him although maintained that interest from the top-flight remained.
Now, Leeds United’s interest in James is well known, given the debacle on deadline day in the Championship, so could this be a boost to their chances of landing him?
“I just can’t see them being able to pull this deal off.
“James is destined for a move to the Premier League, and even if United and Liverpool haven’t submitted a formal bid, I just can’t see Leeds being able to sign him.
“There will be other clubs interested in signing him, and it’s only a matter of time before James departs Swansea in the summer.
“Leeds definitely won’t be signing him if they don’t win promotion this season.”
“This could provide an opening for Leeds but they must move quickly.
“Even if the Premier League’s big clubs don’t move for James, clubs elsewhere in the top tier may see this as an opportunity to snap up one of the most talked about men in the Championship.
“Leeds will have to make contact at the same time if not before those sides if they are to have a chance of finally completing a deal for James.”
“I’m not so sure.
“If it’s not Liverpool or United it will still be some other Premier League club.
“James is destined to play in the top-flight next season so Leeds would need to win promotion to have any chance. But even doing so they could lose out to a more established side.
“It’s a real opportunity missed for the Whites as the Welsh international is a top player.
