Sky Bet Championship side Huddersfield Town have recently completed their third signing of the summer, with Josh Koroma arriving from Leyton Orient.

The Terriers have been quite active in the transfer window, with Tommy Elphick and Reece Brown previously arriving from Aston Villa and Forest Green Rovers respectively.

And after fighting off interest from the likes of Middlesbrough and Sunderland, Siewert has now swooped to get his man, with Koroma arriving at the John Smith's Stadium on a three-year deal.

Here, FLW writer George Harbey discusses this latest signing...

Who is Josh Koroma?

"Koroma is a 20-year-old forward who came through the ranks at Leyton Orient.

"The youngster, who plays mostly as a left-sided winger, burst onto the scene in the 2016/17 campaign, where the O's were relegated from the Football League to the National League.

"The one-time England C international played an influential role in guiding them to promotion last season, hence why he has attracted interest from the second tier."

How did he get on last season?

"Koroma was excellent for Orient last season, and along with Macauley Bonne, he was arguably one of their standout performers last season.

"The attacker scored 11 goals and produced seven assists for the London club last term, and was easily one of the most dangerous players in the division."

What do you make of this signing?

"I think this is a very exciting signing for Huddersfield Town.

"Koroma has established himself as one of the most promising players in the country after impressing for Orient last season, and now is the perfect time for him to make such a step up.

"He will suit Jan Siewert's playing style to a tee, and I expect him to score plenty of goals and produce plenty of assists next term.

"They have unearthed a real gem here."

Is he ready for the Championship?

"That's probably the only worry that Huddersfield fans will have right now, but I say why can't he make the step up?

"He is very good on the ball, he can take players on with ease, and he clearly knows where the goal is.

"He's only young and will need time to settle down, but I can't see a reason why Koroma won't be able to cut it in the Championship."

What have you made of Huddersfield's summer transfer business thus far?

"I think that their transfer business has been fantastic so far, as they have ticked loads of boxes.

"They needed an experienced, commanding central defender upon their return to the Championship, and Elphick certainly fits that bill. He was influential for Hull last season, and I expect him to be a top signing for the Terriers this season.

"Elsewhere, they have signed two very exciting players in Brown and Koroma, who have made real impacts in the lower leagues.

"They could be the team to watch next season."

Where else should they look to strengthen now?

"I think that now they have covered two key areas of the pitch, a new defensive midfielder should be on the radar.

"Jonathan Hogg is reportedly attracting interest from Sheffield United, so if he leaves, then there is a real need to replace him next term.

"Elsewhere, I think they are sorted in every area of the pitch. I think that Karlan Grant is more than capable of scoring goals for fun at this level."
