Blackburn could be dealt a blow this summer as Bradley Dack's chances of staying at Ewood Park next season look increasingly unlikely.

According to the Daily Mail, West Brom, Aston Villa and Sheffield United are all interested in the midfielder, who had an impressive season in his first Championship campaign.

The Mail suggest that Dack is keen for a move, and has requested that the club allow him to speak with interested parties.

In his 90 games for the club he has scored 36 goals and provided 21 assists, a brilliant return for a midfielder. His 15 Championship goals last season was the second highest for a midfielder, and proved that he is effective at any level.

This is the news that Blackburn fans have dreaded, but the fact he has two years remaining on his contract is reason for optimism. Rovers could stand firm knowing they don't need to sell, or they could demand a big fee for him which could be used for the squad's benefit.

So, should Blackburn agree to sell Dack if the right offer comes in?

Our writers have their say.

Toby Wilding

"I don't think they should.

"Dack has been nothing short of talismanic at times for Rovers since making his move to Ewood Park two seasons ago, top scoring in both campaigns to underline his importance to the side.

"It is unlikely to be a coincidence that a drop in form for Dack ran concurrently with a poor run for Rovers mid way through the season, and that shows what a big miss he would be for Rovers if he moves on in the summer.

"That money alone cannot help Rovers on the pitch: they would also have to bring in a replacement for the 25-year-old to keep them moving forward following their promising debut campaign in the Championship, and that may not be easy for a side who so far appear to have struggled to get going in the summer transfer window so far."

Ben Lang

"Yes, I think Rovers should be looking to move Dack on for the right price.

"His performances last season suggest he is fully deserving of a move to the top-flight, and Blackburn can hardly stand in his way if this is what the player wants.

"He will also generate a very healthy fee for the club, which should increase the size of Tony Mowbray's transfer kitty this summer as he prepares his squad for next season.

"It is unlikely Dack will be looking to agree further terms on his deal until 2021, so Blackburn should look to cash in now. He will be a big loss for the Rovers, but Mowbray will have surely made contingency plans in the event of his departure."

Tommy Joyce

"If Blackburn can get the reported £18million for Dack, then they have to let him go.

"Don't get me wrong, he has shown fantastic goal scoring form with his 15 goals this season, but the £18million that Blackburn could reinvest in the squad would outweigh what he is worth to the team.

"At only 25 he is probably Blackburn's one player of Premier League quality, but in reality it is hard to see his value increasing now as he still has a lot to improve on.

"If Blackburn missed out on the chance to cash in on him, they might live to regret it when they are unable to improve their squad."
