Though firmly focused on the small matter of gaining automatic promotion to the Premier League this season, Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa will ensure contract talks are opened with Kemar Roofe, Jack Clarke and Kalvin Phillips next month according to a report on Football Insider.

Talks were scheduled for all three players at some point this season, but with the Whites in a strong position for an automatic promotion spot, they were pushed back until the end of the season.

So should Leeds ensure they tie down all three players to a new deal?

We discuss........

Sam Rourke

"They have to, it's so important.

"The trio have been key players for Leeds United this season and simply must be retained ahead of what could be a Premier League campaign for the Whites.

"There has been reported interest in all three players as well, so it means getting this sorted is all the more important."

George Harbey

"They have got to tie all three players down to a new deal, there’s no two ways about it.

"All three players are so important - particularly Phillips, who has been such a crucial player in the way that Bielsa likes his team to play.

"Ensuring that they all sign new deals would protect them in the long-term too, as their price tag will shoot up."

Jacob Potter

"They need to get this done ASAP.

"Roofe, Clarke and Phillips have all played an important role in Leeds' promotion bid this season and they have the quality to playing in the Premier League, that's for sure.

"It should be a no-brainer for Leeds to secure their long-term future at the club."
