QPR's search to find a new manager continues, with Billy Davies being the latest candidate to be linked with the vacancy at Loftus Road according to West London Sport.

Davies hasn't been in work since he was dismissed as manager of Nottingham Forest in 2014, and could be in line to return to management with the Hoops.

The likes of Tim Sherwood, Michael Appleton and Darren Moore are said be some of the frontrunners for the job, but QPR are yet to appoint a new boss.

Gary Rowett is believed to have ruled himself out of the running for the vacancy according to West London Sport.

QPR supporters will be hoping that their side can appoint Steve McClaren's successor in the near future, to help save their season which seems to be heading in a downward spiral at this moment in time.

But would Davies be a good appointment by QPR?

We discuss....

Toby Wilding:

"Where has this come from?

"It's been almost five years since Davies was a manager, and as Martin O'Neill's time at Forest has shown, it can take time to get back into the cycle of things after so much time away.

"You wonder if it should also be a concern that QPR are still be linked with other names when talks with Tim Sherwood are supposed to be ongoing."

Jacob Potter:

"This could be a decent appointment by QPR.

"Davies knows the Championship well and could be the ideal candidate needed to help steer QPR clear of their relegation fears.

"They need to appoint a new manager ASAP though, otherwise they’re in real trouble this season and could well be relegated from the Championship if they don’t act swiftly."

Louie Chandler:

"This would be a strange appointment.

"Davies obviously has a lot of experience in the Championship but given how many years he has been away from it, I would be cautious.

"I don't think it would be disastrous, but i think they could do better."
