‘They can jog on then’ – These Charlton fans react to key update in managerial development

Charlton Athletic fans have been checking social media for the past 12 hours in the hope that manager Lee Bowyer won’t be departing for Cardiff City anytime soon.
Former Bluebirds manager Neil Warnock stood down after the 1-0 defeat to Bristol City in the Severnside derby on Sunday, and now there has been an update in the managerial hunt that may affect Addicks supporters.
Having been heavily linked to the job and reportedly being one of two candidates shortlisted for the role, it has now emerged that Cardiff are yet to approach Charlton and enquire about the availability of manager Bowyer.
Bowyer began his managerial career with Charlton in March 2018 as he was appointed caretaker manager by the Addicks and in September 2018, he was permanently appointed manager.
During his first full season in management, the 42-year-old guided the Addicks to the League One play-off final, where they earned promotion over Sunderland thanks to a late goal from Patrick Bauer.
Should Bowyer stay with Charlton or go to Cardiff?

Bowyer has so far taken charge of 85 games for Charlton and managed to win 42 of them, losing just 25 after a promising start to his management career.
Here, we bring you the best reaction from Addicks supporters regarding the latest update about Bowyer in Cardiff’s management hunt…
After a spot of checking, I don't believe there has been any contact from Cardiff for Lee Bowyer. #cafc
