‘They are the dark horses for sure’ – Preston and the play-offs? Opinion

Preston North End are unbeaten in 11 placing Alex Neil’s side right in the play-off mix in ninth place just two points off the final play-off place ahead of the weekend visit of Birmingham City.

Neil has done a remarkable job at Deepdale after a poor start to the season and his efforts have not gone unnoticed, with the 37-year-old Scot is under consideration for the vacant West Brom post.

So can Preston still make the play-offs?

We discuss……

Louie Chandler

“I don’t see why not.

“Alex Neil has done another brilliant job this season, guiding North End steadily up the table to a position where they can now challenge again.

“They face some fierce competition but you cannot rule them out.”

Gary Hutchinson

“If only.

“That bad start has set them right back.

“They’re on fire now, but Alex Neil has to keep that going next season.

“They’ll not be top six this time around.”

Jay Taylor

“They are the dark horses for sure.

“And there is no reason why they can’t really challenge the teams above them and make it to the play-offs.

“If Preston keep their form up – they have every chance.”
