A 1-0 defeat to struggling Bolton Wanderers has been one of only a handful of blips in what has been a decent run of form that has seen Garry Monk's side up to eighth in the Championship, five points off the play-off places.

One player who has been in scintillating form for the Blues this season is 22-year-old striker Che Adams, who has scored 19 goals and made three assists in 33 matches in all competitions this season.

But, is it fair to say Birmingham are too reliant on Adams?

We discuss.....

Louie Chandler

"Possibly.

"But I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing. There are not many teams in the Championship who have more than one reliable striker.

"In fact, many do not even have one so it should not be a concern for Monk."

Gary Hutchinson

“Perhaps.

“He didn’t score the other night, so they lost.

“Let’s not forget how well Jutkiewicz did at the beginning of the season though.

“If Jota chipped in more it’d help.”

Alfie Burns

“Maybe, but all teams are reliant on a player scoring goals.

“Leeds need Kemar Roofe, Norwich need Teemu Pukki, so Birmingham having a reliance on Adams isn’t a bad thing.

“Of course, it is a lot of pressure on young shoulders, but he’s dealt with that pretty well and grown.”

Jacob Potter

"I couldn’t agree more.

"Adams has made a significant contribution for the Blues this season, and without his goals, Birmingham would be no-where near the play-offs.

"They are far too reliant on him, and other members of the squad need to step up and contribute as much as he has."
