Birmingham duo Greg Stewart and Nikolai Brock-Madsen are two of the players who you’d expect to exit St Andrew’s this transfer window.

Both spent time away from the club last season; Stewart spent time in Scotland with Aberdeen with Brock-Madsen loaned out to Polish side Cracovia.

The duo were not part of the plans at Birmingham City last season, and the same can be said this season with the Scottish Sun reporting the players are ‘up for grabs’ and wanted by St. Mirren.

Brock Madsen, a 25-year-old striker, signed for the Blues back in 2105 but has only had six appearances during his time with two loans away from the Midlands side.

Stewart, another striker, followed the Dane a year later having signed from Dundee after he rejected a contract extension with the Scottish club.

Since his arrival, however, he has only had 21 appearances before a loan spell.

With both players failing to make the desired impact at St Andrew's, is it time that manager Garry Monk sells the pair who are seemingness surplus to requirements?

We discuss…

Jay Williams

They should definitely sell these two.

Neither are making an impact in the first-team and getting them off the books aids their FFP case.

It frees up space in the squad for Garry Monk to possibly bring in a new, better striker.

Christian Fuller

Unfortunately for Birmingham, they have found themselves in the situation where they are desperate for an incoming flow of money before they are to spend any of their own in this summer’s transfer window.

A big part of improving and bolstering their squad will be to sell off a large part of their squad, starting with Greg Stewart and Nikolai Brock Madsen.

While they are useful players, Garry Monk will need to take a risk and get rid if he is to succeed this season.

George Dagless

I think so.

Birmingham could perhaps do with raising some funds, and these two probably weren't going to play much next season.

It makes sense to cash in if they get a good enough offer.

Alfie Burns

Absolutely.

Monk is in a tricky situation this summer, with Birmingham having to be shrewd with their transfer dealings.

Getting players off the books is going to be key.

These two should be axed.
