QPR have been one of the Championship's biggest struggles this season and despite the appointment of Ian Holloway, the Hoops have continued to struggle in the league.

At the time of writing, Holloway's men sit 18th in the Championship on just 23 points from 66 available. For a club of their stature, it's just not good enough and Hoops fans will hope things drastically improve in the New Year.

But with the division as challenging as ever, the chance of an extreme turnaround in form is always going to be tough, especially with a handful of teams fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table.

But as with any struggles, keeping hold of top players when the going gets tough is always difficult and we think there are a handful of QPR players who should definitely be looking for a move away next month.

So with that in mind, here's 3 of Queens Park Rangers' best performers who should definitely be seeking a move away this January...

Alex Smithies

Alex Smithies is having arguably one of his best seasons between the sticks but let's not kid ourselves, he's had plenty to do as the defence in front of him has often crumbled on more occasions than not.

He's been saving penalties with ease, keeping his side in games and out-performing most of his team-mates week in, week out.

For any top clubs in the Championship or even in the Premier League, a goalkeeper of Smithies' quality would be a cracking investment.

Ariel Borysiuk

Signed in the summer, Polish midfielder Ariel Borysiuk has really begun to settle in the Championship and looks to be a really handy player going forward for the Hoops.

He's settled in quite nicely alongside Massimo Luongo and he cuts play out, works hard and gets forward too.

He'd be a cut-price option for many teams going forward and if someone comes in with a decent bid, it would be hard for QPR to turn the offer away.

Idrissa Sylla

Signed late on in the summer transfer window, it's safe to say Idrissa Sylla has been one of the better pieces of business done by the club in recent months.

Whilst he's not set the world on fire goals-wise, he's been a useful addition to the squad and you can see how his pace and power could quickly become useful for other teams at this level.

He scored a cracking winner against Fulham in October and he could thrive in a squad where all players are performing well.
