Millwall are entrenched in a Championship relegation battle at present, but Neil Harris will have one eye on a summer recruitment drive.

After finishing eighth last term, three points off the play-offs, it has been somewhat of an eye-opener this term, scrapping at the opposite end of the table.

Harris will have seen the struggle from his side and will have pinpointed areas that need reinforcements in the summer.

Every team must move forward and recruit to improve at every opportunity, and the Lions will be no different.

The budget is tight at The Den, but there will be plenty of players who are out of contract in the summer.

With that said, these are the soon-to-be free agents that need to be on Millwall’s summer shopping list...

The 30-year-old has impressed since moving to The Den on loan in the new year and he is a leader the club has lacked this term.

Out of favour at Derby and out of contract in the summer, he is playing for his future.

And based on his recent performances for Millwall, he is certain to have interest in his services come the end of the season.

He is a player that Harris should certainly be keeping his eye on once the summer window opens.

Callum Harriott

The Reading winger has failed to nail down a regular place this season having featured from the start just twice, with six appearances coming from the bench.

The 25-year-old is pacy and could be a real asset to Millwall, who will see Ben Marshall return to parent club Norwich in the summer.

With the future of Jiri Skalak and Fred Onyedinma up in the air, wide options could be in order for Harris.

Harriott is a player that falls in the Lions’ budget and could well head back to London after his stint in Berkshire, should a move come to fruition.

Stephen Henderson

Jordan Archer and Dave Martin are out of contract in the summer, as well as young stopper Tom King.

With that trio potentially on their way out of The Den and Ben Amos’ loan move from Bolton ending when the season does – Millwall could be without a senior goalkeeper at the club.

Henderson is experienced between the sticks and has been a Championship regular since his days at Bournemouth.

He could well be a player on Harris’ radar in the summer as he looks to make changes to his Lions side.
