Sunderland continued their fight against relegation with a stirring comeback against Bristol City at the weekend.

The men from the Stadium of Light looked in dire straits come half-time in that game against Robins but something evidently went on in the dressing room - probably a few choice words from Chris Coleman.

Indeed, his players emerged with the bit between their teeth and they duly got themselves a point that would have felt like a win.

The men on the field stepped up, then, but there's plenty of names that cannot really say that they have pulled their weight this season on Wearside.

With that in mind, then, let's take a look at a pair of relative passengers...

Rodwell has had an absolute stinker during his time in the north east.

He's been injured and out of form and favour for most of his spell and needs to leave the club sooner rather than later.

He's not going to be helping the club any time soon but remains on their books and that needs to be sorted.

Much of the same can be said for Kone.

He's a Premier League level player when he wants to be but he's often not decided to be that in the Championship for Sunderland.

He might be able to help Sunderland to safety still this season but it's safe to say most fans have not been impressed with him this year.
