West Bromwich Albion are currently preparing for a season back in the Championship following their relegation from the Premier League.

The Baggies are hoping to keep a number of their star players but they face battles to hold onto the likes of Jonny Evans, Craig Dawson, Salomon Rondon, Jay Rodriguez and others.

But with their parachute payments from the Premier League and any funds generated from sales, West Brom will have the money to build a squad capable of challenging for promotion under popular boss Darren Moore.

One player that West Brom are rumoured to be looking at is Charles Traore, a left-back from Troyes.

The 26-year-old, rated at £1.8m on transfermarkt, could leave the French club after their relegation from Ligue 1 with West Brom and Huddersfield interested.

If the Mali international does arrive, questions will arise over the futures of other players in that department.

Here are two players who could leave if West Brom snap up Traore.

Gibbs is likely to attract a bit of interest from the Premier League this summer despite a disappointing campaign for the Baggies.

The 10-cap England international needs to be back in the top flight if he has any chance of reigniting his slim international hopes in the future.

Formerly of Arsenal, the 28-year-old could leave to fund a move for Traore.

West Brom defender Nyom plays predominantly as a right-back but can also cover at left-back.

The Traore links could spell the end of the 30-year-old's two-year tenure at The Hawthorns with Premier League clubs potentially looking to bring him in as cover or possibly a switch abroad on the table.

West Brom will be keen to keep the Cameroon international for their Championship campaign but he might see his future elsewhere.
