Leeds United are on the lookout for their third head-coach in under 12 months, after confirmation came earlier in the month that Paul Heckingbottom would be departing Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa has been in talks with Leeds over recent weeks, but other reports say a domestic coach is also on the club’s radar ahead of next season.

Steve Bruce has been linked with the vacancy, with speculation continuing to grow surrounding his long-term future with Aston Villa, after their failure to win promotion in the Sky Bet Championship last season.

The 57-year-old led Villa to fourth, but they lost out to Fulham in the play-offs.

Bruce is a promotion expert, having won four promotions to the Premier League during an impressive managerial career.

Should the ex-Hull City and Birmingham City boss arrive, he would look to make an impact in the transfer window.

With that in mind, we take a look at THREE players who could arrive if Bruce is appointed…

Leeds are already linked with Hernandez and Bruce previously worked with the striker at Hull.

The Whites are confident of getting a deal done, but if Bruce arrives, it will seem like the 27-year-old is destined for Elland Road.

Snodgrass was a popular figure at Elland Road earlier in his career and excelled under Bruce last season at Villa Park.

The winger’s loan spell brought seven goals and 14 assists, with Snodgrass impressing in claret and blue.

If Bruce is appointed, he could well look to bring Snodgrass on board.

Luongo was linked with a move to Aston Villa whilst Bruce was in charge, with QPR’s Australian midfielder reportedly on the 57-year-old’s radar.

Leeds need to freshen up their options in central midfield, and should Bruce arrive, he could take a look at Luongo.

The Australian has enjoyed a decent 12 months at Loftus Road and could be a good addition.
