Cardiff spent the vast majority of their season near the bottom of the Championship table but after a change in management and an upturn in fortune, there may be some optimism in Wales ahead of the next campaign.

The Bluebirds will be happy to have a full offseason to take stock and go again - and boss Steve Morison will be equally as happy to get time to fully evaluate his squad and deal with plenty of potential transfers.

There could be plenty of incomings and outgoings this summer then and with plenty of players throughout the division coming to the end of their deals at the end of June, there will likely be plenty of business before the month is out.

Here then, are some of the transfer stories that could dominate at Cardiff in June.

Could Cody Drameh make sensational return?

Cardiff enjoyed a superb half a season with Cody Drameh at the end of the last campaign and will be desperate to see him return to the club.

He featured in 22 games and really cemented himself in the first-team picture during his spell in Wales. In fact, he was even named the side's Player of the Season despite only joining the side on a short-term basis in the winter window.

Now, Cardiff will be delighted to hear that the player's parent club Leeds are trying to make a signing in the same position as Drameh - and that could mean he ends up back with the Bluebirds sooner rather than later.

To avoid other sides swooping in, once a deal is done on Leeds' end, Cardiff could step in and try and get a deal done before the month is out.

Bluebirds desperate for Josh Laurent?

Another player who could come through the door this summer - if not before the end of the month - is Josh Laurent.

Reading will want to hold onto the 27-year-old during the offseason, as he featured heavily for the Royals last season. He made 41 league appearances for the side and was a mainstay in the team - but he might decide to have a change of scenery this summer.

Cardiff are prepared to offer him that chance, with the Welsh outfit having already offered him terms of their own according to reports. That could mean that, upon the expiry of his current deal, he ends up with the Bluebirds instead.

Cardiff will certainly be hoping so - and they'll be trying to sort a deal out as soon as possible.

Who will Marlon Pack join?

Marlon Pack though is one man who looks like he could be set to leave Cardiff this month.

The player has been with the club for three years but has fallen out of favour more over the last season or so. He was more of a bit-part player during the last campaign compared to a first-team regular and it now looks like he will depart the Bluebirds during the offseason.

It does look like there is plenty of interest in his services and he will want to sort out his future before the end of the month. Bristol City have looked like frontrunners but the Robins have now seemingly been ruled out of the running.

Still, Pack will be out the exit door this year it appears - and that means it could be an intriguing month as everyone looks to see where the player will end up playing his football.
