Aston Villa have time left in the transfer window to bolster their squad in order to regain some momentum and resurrect their faltering play-off push.

Dean Smith’s men are midtable and seven points off the play-offs after a decline in recent form.

Fresh transfer ideas are needed at the club if they are to progress and improve under their new manager.

As there is a need for fresh blood in the ranks at Villa Park, it is inevitable players will leave.

If out-of-favour first-team stars fail to seal a move away from the Championship club, it could be to the detriment of their future career prospects.

With that said, these Aston Villa players face an uncertain future if they don’t secure moves in the coming days

Henri Lansbury

Injured or not, Lansbury has had a rough ride at Aston Villa and has not been consistently in the plans for a while under a different manager.

The 28-year-old has managed eight minutes of football this term and if he fails to get a move away in the comings days then what will be of the one-time Arsenal man?

It makes sense for the midfielder to leave for the sake of his career.

Scott Hogan

The striker would have assumed he would be more in favour under Smith who had been his boss when the pair were at Brentford.

But opportunities have not been afforded to him, with the form of Tammy Abraham ever so impressive this season.

Hogan might be looking for an escape route to secure regular first-team football, and if he does not do that, then it remains to be seen how his Villa career will pan out.

Mile Jedinak

The Australian is out with a calf injury, and a move away looks to be borderline out of the question.

But having hardly featured under Dean Smith, he picked up the knock in a match on December 1 and has not been able to play since.

A mutual termination could be the best way forward as once the transfer window slams shut and there is no more movement allowed, it doesn’t look good for the one time stalwart of the Villa midfield.
