Wolves have had a turbulent season so far and they find themselves embroiled in a relegation battle as we close in on the business end of the season.

Paul Lambert's men sit just two points above the drop zone, although they do have a game in hand on 22nd placed Blackburn Rovers.

Wolves are in serious danger of being pulled into the bottom three having lost their last four games and with three tough away games and a crunch clash against Rotherham to come, Wolves could find themselves in the bottom three come the international break.

A managerial change has been made at Molineux this season, after Walter Zenga was sacked, Paul Lambert took over the hot seat, but results haven't exactly turned around.

Wolves fans have had a tough season so far and they have found it difficult to watch their team suffering on the pitch.

Here are THREE tweets that sum up Wolves' season so far.....

Relegation Fears

Fears are growing around Molineux that relegation could seriously be threatening Wolves and that there is a real chance they could drop back into League One.

As the tweet suggests, £60m has been invested in Wolves lately and they have just signed Helder Costa for £13 million, a huge investment at C hampionship level, never mind League One...

Relegation this season would be a disaster for Wolves, but it does appear to be a real possibility and something that Paul Lambert needs to address.

Inconsistency

Wolves have struggled so far to find some consistency this season and that is why they find themselves deep in a relegation battle as we approach the crucial end of the season.

As the tweet suggests, January was a decent month for Wolves, they won two of their four games and drew one, but February has been a shocking month.

February on the other hand has been a disaster for Wolves and they have lost all of their games, including games against their relegation rivals Burton Albion and Wigan.

Relegation Rival Struggles

Wolves have only taken seven points off the sides in the Championship bottom seven this season, which looks to be one of the reasons why they are in serious danger of being relegated.

On one hand this is testament to Wolves that they have beaten some of the leagues' stronger sides, but all Wolves fans will be wondering where they would be if they had beaten the sides in and around them.

Wolves will be looking to add to that tally when Rotherham visit Molineux this month, in what is a must win game for Wolves.
