One new face that is a real possibility is that of former Manchester City youngster Reece Wabara. After Darnell Fisher struggled to adapt to English football last year, Warne may be keen to bring in some competition at right back and 25-year-old Wabara would add some real stern competition for former Celtic man Fisher.
Wabara most recent club was Bolton Wanderers for whom he penned a short term deal in February 2017 until the end of the season. Having barley featured at all for the club he was released upon expiry of his contract and now finds himself searching for another new club.
Wabara has a proven pedigree in England’s third tier after being named in the League One PFA Team of the Year for his performances in the 2015-16 season when playing for Wigan Athletic, whose season concluded in promotion to The Championship.
The 25-year-old is a solid, dependable athletic defender who would help sure up The Millers’ leaky defence.
