The summer overhaul at St. James' Park is in full swing now.

Rafael Benitez is asserting his influence in his first window with the Magpies and has overseen 5 incoming players and 4 departures so far.

Goalkeeper Matz Sels was the first to arrive at the club from Gent before Dwight Gayle made a switch from Crystal Palace.

Fellow Premier League sensation Matt Ritchie followed suit in dropping down a league for £12m. Defenders Jesus Gamez and Isaac Hayden have since joined up with Newcastle from Atletico Madrid and Arsenal respectively.

The outgoings started with Steven Taylor's release before his long-serving centre back partner Fabricio Coloccini returned to San Lorenzo in Argentina. Andros Townsend joined Crystal Palace for £13m whilst Papiss Cisse swapped Tyneside for China.

Benitez will struggle to keep some of his other star players, who might not want to play in the Championship.

Here are THREE players that Newcastle are BOUND to lose before the end of the summer...

Tim Krul

It is no secret that Tim Krul wants out.

The 28-year-old has been linked with West Ham, Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough as he seeks a move back to the Premier League.

Benitez is fully aware of this and has signed Belgian 'keeper Sels to add to the very competent duo of Rob Elliot and Karl Darlow.

The Netherlands international has not travelled with the squad to their pre-season camp in Ireland - further confirming rumours of unrest.

Newcastle will surely demand a fee between £5m and £10m for their experienced goalkeeper with Everton or Bournemouth seeming like sensible destinations.

I would be very surprised to see Tim Krul still at Newcastle come the opening day of the season.

Daryl Janmaat

Another Dutchman that apparently wants out, Daryl Janmaat has recently been linked with a move to Watford.

The attack-minded right back is supposedly not keen on playing in the Championship and might not even be guaranteed a starting spot following the arrival of Atletico's Jesus Gamez.

The Netherlands international has been a consistent performer for Newcastle over the past two seasons, although there still remain question marks over his positioning and defensive ability.

I expect the 26-year-old will move on to a higher league in order to retain his place in the Dutch national squad.

Georginio Wijnaldum

Wijnaldum45

If, by some miracle, Newcastle manage to see out the window without selling Georginio Wijnaldum then they would have resisted offers from some of Europe's top clubs to do so. Tottenham, West Ham, Arsenal, Liverpool and Roma are just a handful of clubs that have reportedly offered him European football next season.

It has all been pretty quiet from Wijnaldum's end with the Netherlands international not offering his opinion on the situation yet.

The 25-year-old attacking midfielder shone in a poor Newcastle midfield last season and racked up 11 league goals in 38 games.

The versatile playmaker can also operate at left back or deeper in midfield. He would be a welcome addition to any Premier League side but they might be put off by his £25m price tag - this could be Newcastle's saving grace.

Newcastle fans - what do you think? Will you sell or keep these players? Who could come in to replace them?
