The Nottingham Forest fans look set to receive some exciting news this summer, with the club widely expected to receive financial investment from a Greek party.

The news is likely to mean that the club will finally have some proper structure in the form of a chief executive and a head of recruitment, which will appease the club’s supporters no end after years of relative turmoil off the pitch.

With the club no clear of the transfer embargo which they were placed under last season, the new manager is expected to get a sizeable kitty in order to get Forest back up the Sky Bet Championship table.

Several players will probably join the club during the summer but with the club are still expected to be careful financially, which could mean some player also depart the City Ground in the coming weeks.

Robert Tesche

With Nottingham Forest currently searching for a new manager, the future of the club’s out of contract players remains up in the air.

The German midfielder falls into the category of players who will see their contract expire at the end of June, with no offer currently forthcoming.

Tesche is a decent midfielder for any Sky Bet Championship club and you get the impression he would go to another club and excel.

That said, Forest will still have the aftermath of a transfer embargo hanging over them and with Tesche among the club’s highest earners, the Reds could choose to move him on to free up some wages.

Jack Hobbs

The ex-Leicester City and Hull City man is a solid defender on his day, but since his arrival at the City Ground his luck with injury problems as been non-existent.

First it was an ankle break which curtailed his progress and then a series of back injuries kept him out of the side last season, at a time when Forest could have done with a fit and determined Jack Hobbs.

With Forest keen to get some more youngsters into the first-team next season they might look towards the likes of Joe Worrall to act as backup to the starting eleven, rather than the injury-prone Hobbs.

Whether he stays at the City Ground will probably depend on the incoming boss’ identity but it would be no surprise to me if the 27-year-old is not a Forest player come the start of August.

Dexter Blackstock

The 30-year-old has been a great servant to Nottingham Forest and over the years he has scored some important goals for the club.

In order for Forest to move forward however they need to offload some of the deadwood and Blackstock is way beyond his best years these days.

Nothing more than a squad player these days, the ex-Queens Park Rangers man is holding the younger strikers at the club back and Blackstock would be better served in League One next season.

His professionalism and his ability to be a handful for defenders would make him an asset to most clubs in League One and a move would be decent for all parties.
