Nottingham Forest endured a frustrating end to the transfer window as young starlet Oliver Burke was sold out of nowhere, while they failed to really re-invest a chunk of the money received before the window closed.

The Reds' squad though is still one full of talent, a mix of experience and youth, home-grown players and internationals, and players who are both under and overrated by fans and pundits alike.

Forest - the two time European Champions - have had some fine players down the years from John Robertson in the Brian Clough era, to mavericks like Pierre Van Hooijdonk, and more recently players like Andy Reid and Britt Assombalonga.

Opinion can often be split in football about what makes a good player, especially among fans. So often one fan will see something another doesn't, and vice-versa.

Here, FLW writer Lee Connor looks at THREE Nottingham Forest players who could be considered overrated...

Matt Mills

Matt MillsMatt Millsh

The big defender can divide opinion in the stands at the City Ground, which pretty much sums up his career.

Dominant and fearsome at the back on his day, but error prone and shy when he is not on his game, Mills' inconsistency has probably cost him a consistent Premier League place during his career.

The former Reading man does have ability, but for the wages and fees he has commanded, some do see him as overrated.

Henri Lansbury

The former Arsenal man might be a controversial choice, but outside of the City Ground there is an opinion that he is top drawer due to his Arsenal upbringing.

While many Forest fans will argue they are a better side with Lansbury playing, there are some who see him as a luxury player and one who they can do without at times.

Lansbury is a good player, but can he maybe show a bit more to prove how good he is?

Armand Traore

He might be a new face at the City Ground, but personally, I have never seen the big fascination with Traore and how he keeps getting moves to good football clubs on good money.

He was poor for Arsenal, and bordering on shambolic for QPR at times, yet still seems to have people who rate him within the game.

Traore might well prove me and a few others wrong, and fair play to him should he do so, but for now, I remain unconvinced about what Traore is going to bring to the Forest cause.

Forest fans, what do you think? Are these 3 overrated? Who do you think is overrated at the City Ground? Let us know!
