Nottingham Forest have had a poor start to the Sky Bet Championship season and currently sit 20th in the table.

Philippe Montanier will come under some pressure very soon if the results continue they way they are going.

Forest owner, Fawaz Al-Hasawi is hungry for immediate success and is not frightened of sacking managers to get it.

Montanier was very limited in what he could sign over the summer. With Forest having limited finances available, signing players has been limited to loans and frees or small fees.

Despite not being able to add real quality to their squad, Forest do have a core of quality players in their squad, including Britt Assombalonga and Henri Lansbury.

If Nottingham Forest are to get back to the old glory days, they will need some added investment to their squad to help them compete with the rest of the top Championship teams.

Here, FLW's Chris Wilson will look at THREE Forest player's transfer values that will surprise you using the transfermarkt.com valuations...

Britt Assombalonga - £4.25m

According to transfermarkt.com, Assombalonga is worth only £4.25 million, small money in the current market given his goal scoring prowess.

Assombalonga has been plagued with injuries over the last 2 and a half years which has meant he could only make 36 appearances in that time.

During his first season at Forest, he scored 15 goals in his first 29 games.

If Assombalonga is to redicscover his goal scoring touch, he could find himself in a big money move to the Premier League, as most teams are crying out for a goal scorer like him.

His value of £4.25 million is very surprising, given the current prices of players and that he is only 23, Assombalonga could be worth at least double that value.

Ben Osborn - £638k

Ben Osborn

According to transfermarkt.com, Osborn is worth £638k, a meagre amount for a player of his quality and of his age.

Osborn came through the youth ranks at Forest and has since gone on to rack up over 90 appearances for the club, scoring 6 goals in the process, including a stunning winner away at local rivals, Derby County.

Osborn could become a star of the Championship if he can continue his development and he certainly has age on his side.

If Osborn really is valued at just £638k, I'm sure there would be plenty of teams trying to take him off Forest.

Apostolos Vellios - £850k

velliosvelliosvelliosv

According to transfermarkt.com, Vellios is worth £85ok, a very small amount for a player who has a lot of quality.

Vellios signed for Forest in the summer from Greek side Iraklis and has been a hit so far for them.

He has 5 goals in 13 games so far, a good return for his first proper crack attThe Championship.

If Vellios can continue his good form, that £850k price tag, could soon rise dramatically, with Championship goal scorers, highly sought after players.
