Norwich City spent the last campaign in the Premier League, the division that they have been yo-yoing in and out for the last few years.

Even though the Canaries were relegated, there were still members of the side who impressed such as midfielder Jonny Howson who was very much Mr Consistent for Norwich last season.

Other stand-out players were Wes Hoolahan and Robbie Brady, especially during the first half of the season.

As well as this, centre back Timm Klose added a huge amount of quality to the back line and could arguably easily be a part of a top half Premier League side.

However, there were also players who did disappoint the Carrow Road spectators including centre-half Sebastien Bassong and goalkeeper John Ruddy. Both were something of a liability for City, making costly mistakes which eventually led to goals.

FLW writer Tom Rawcliffe identifies THREE Norwich City players who could very well surprise a lot of people next season...

Ivo Pinto

The 26-year-old joined the club in January from Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb, where he won the league twice.

Pinto featured 10 times for the Canaries last season and he is already a fans favourite.

The full-back is very solid both going forward and defending. The Portuguese drives at pace and could be a very influential player next season.

Timm Klose

Klose also joined the Canaries in January of last season from German side Wolfsburg.

The Swiss centre-back massively impressed during his short spell in the Premier League and if Norwich are to keep hold of him then he may surprise a lot of people with the quality that he has.

Klose, and fellow defender Pinto, will no doubt play an integral part in the East Anglian's sides push for promotion.

Josh Murphy

Josh Murphy

Young players such as Josh Murphy could play a huge part in Norwich's season with James Maddison (19), Sergi Canós (19) and Carlton Morrison (20) all on the books.

The left-winger spent last season in the Championship on loan at the relegated MK Dons. However, he was one of the few positives in the Dons poor season.

Murphy accumulated 46 appearances in all competitions, scoring 7 goals and assisting a further 10.

The 21-year-old has previously featured 28 times for the club and he will be hoping that he can make many more appearances for the side next season.
