It's been a busy summer on Tyneside for all of those involved at Newcastle United, be it the fans, players or managers.

They've managed to keep hold of Rafa Benitez as he looks to earn them instant promotion back to the Premier League and transfer-wise, it's been a busy couple of months too.

No more than eight new names have already been brought in by the Newcastle hierarchy, and their transfer spending shows no sign of slowing up.

But when there are plenty of incomings, there must be some outgoings as players fall down the pecking order and the books need to be balanced.

And with Newcastle winger Florian Thauvin returning back to Marseille on-loan this afternoon, who could be set to join the Frenchman in departing St James' this summer?

Here's THREE players who could follow him out of the club in the coming days....

Paul Dummett

The tough-tackling 24-year-old had a solid campaign last season for the Toon, making 24 appearances for Rafa Benitez' side.

However, he was a big part of the side that suffered that crippling relegation and it seems that plenty of new faces have been brought in to potentially shaft the Welshman from the side.

Dummett can play anywhere along the back-line, but with Grant Hanley, Ciaran Clark and Jesus Gamez all coming in, he could be set to leave the club this summer.

Tim Krul

Arguably one of Newcastle's longest-serving players, Tim Krul has quite a bit of competition as the new season approaches.

Rafa was quick to add Belgian keeper' Matz Sels to his side as his first piece of summer business, and with him he'll bring a whole wealth of Champions League experience.

Does that mean Krul's time as Newcastle's number one could be coming to an end?

Vurnon Anita

Whilst Anita has featured quite heavily for the Toon since his 2012 move from Ajax, it seems his time at St James' Park may be coming to an end.

He was one of a handful that was criticised quite frequently last season as Newcastle slumped to relegation, and it's difficult to see him controlling the midfield in the near future.

Newcastle need some pace and power in the heart of the park, and it just seems that Sissokho, Colback and Shelvey will give that a little more than the Dutchman.
