Luton got themselves back to winning ways after a couple of tough months, turning over struggling Barnet 2-0 in Saturday's later kick off.

The Hatters have been in the top three most of the season, but recently let their grip on the title slip as Accrington Stanley took pole position.

The win reasserted their place in the automatic promotion spots and with eight games left, it would be highly surprising if they weren't a League One side next season.

With promotion comes rebuilding and Nathan Jones will already have on eye on next season.

They've been amongst the big spenders in League Two, bringing in both James Collins and Luke Berry from their rivals. They also had a big bid knocked back for Lincoln City's Alex Woodyard, showing their intention to continue to strengthen.

As they do, players will fall by the wayside and here at FLW, we've identified three who might be in last chance saloon at Kenilworth Road.

Cook joined Luton from League One Walsall in 2016 but hasn't featured since January after a red card against Grimsby.

At the time, boss Nathan Jones was furious at the striker's two yellow cards, slamming him on Luton Today by saying; "he’s made two, very, very silly decisions today and they could have cost us, they haven’t, but they’ve cost him.”

The former Sunderland trainee is out of contract in the summer and it looks likely that he'll be on his way, whatever the outcome of Luton's promotion bid.

32-year old Mullins looks to have fallen by the wayside at Kenilworth Road and he must be another fearful of his long-term future.

He's made 20 appearances, the last of which came as the Hatters lost 3-2 at home to Wycombe. He was brought off in that game and hasn't been seen in an orange shirt since.

He has been on the bench, but with players such as Scott Cuthbert, Glenn Rea and Alan Sheehan ahead of him, he looks to be approaching the end of his Luton career. He is out of contract this summer also and possibly searching for new employers.

25-year old D'Ath made his name in League Two with Northampton Town, but he hasn't been able to force himself into the manager's plans and with his contract up in the summer, he must be pondering on his future.

He's been on the field 20 times this season, the most recent on March 3rd as the Hatters drew at Cambridge. His campaign has been blighted with injuries, his return at the Abbey Stadium lasted just 20 minutes.

With promotion looking assured and with him only ever having played 15 matches outside the basement division, he surely has to be walking a fine line between being retained and being released.
