Leeds United are currently sitting ninth in the Sky Bet Championship and they are within touching distance of the Play Offs.

Garry Monk seems to have turned Leeds' fortunes around of late, with a run of six wins in nine games which has seen them climb the table significantly.

Monk recruited well over summer, bringing in Kemar Roofe and Marcus Antonsson, permanently and secured the loan services of Hadi Sacko and Pablo Hernandez, two good loan signings.

Leeds had a mixed window when it come to outgoings, with Charlie Taylor staying at the club, but academy graduate, Lewis Cook, departed for Premier League side, Bournemouth.

Leeds have some very good players in their squad, where if they were to sell them now, they would be worth a fair amount of money.

Here, FLW's Chris Wilson will look at three Leeds players who's transfer value will surprise you utilising transfermarkt.co.uk transfer valuation system...

Charlie Taylor - £2.55m

According to transfermarkt.co.uk, Taylor is valued at £2.55 million.

This does come as a surprise, given that he is one of the best young left backs in the league.

Taylor is another product of the Leeds academy, which has brought them so many good players over the last few years.

He has played over 70 times for Leeds over the past 5 years, with most of his appearances coming in the last 3 years.

Taylor has recently been linked with a move to West Brom, and it is looking very likely he will leave Leeds in the coming months, after he was rumoured to have turned down a new contract.

Taylor's reputation as one of the best young left backs around, and the fact that they are so hard to come across, makes his transfer value of £2.55 million surprising.

Alex Mowatt - £850k

According to transfermarkt.co.uk, Mowatt is valued at £850k.

Despite his lack of starts of late, Mowatt still has quality that makes him a highly thought of centre midfielder.

Mowatt has made 111 appearances in the last 3 and a half years, scoring 12 goals in the process, he has featured quite heavily for Leeds, especially over the previous two years.

Mowatt is one of Leeds' top centre midfielders, so his price tag of £850k could be a bargain for someone, he is only 21 and still has plenty of room for development to become one of the Championship's top centre midfielders.

Luke Ayling - £638k

According to transfermarkt.co.uk, Ayling is worth £638k.

He has been a regular at right back in the absence of Berardi and has made it extremely hard for the Swiss defender to get his place back.

Ayling has had a good start to his Leeds career and already has 10 Leeds United appearances to his name.

His price tag of £638k seems very low for a player of his experience and quality in the Championship, to buy him in today's market, it would take more than £638k.
