Over the years Leeds United have developed a reputation for being one of the best clubs at developing and nurturing young talent. In recent seasons they have brought through the likes of Lewis Cook and Sam Byram, both of which are now playing Premier League football.

Every fan loves to see a home grown talent, but with the influx of foreign players into the English leagues these days it appears that academy products are getting overlooked.

Young players bring fearlessness, passion, desire and fight into the team and it may be a good idea for Garry Monk to blood some of these youngsters into the first team squad as soon as possible.

This article is going to take a look at three of the current crop of youngsters at the club who have huge potential and will be first teamers before you know it...

Tyler Denton

21-year-old Tyler Denton is one of the latest hot prospects at Elland Road and looks to be someone who is edging closer and closer to the first team squad, especially under new manager Garry Monk.

Since the arrival of Monk at the club, Denton was called into the Leeds squad for the pre-season friendlies and was then handed a squad number for the season, number 33.

Denton is a versatile operator who has played all along the midfield as well as dropping back to left back on occasion. His potential has been recognised at international level by England for whom he has been capped at under 17 level.

The young man recently pledged his future to the club as he signed a new three year deal at Elland Road.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell

Former Middelsbrough trainee Peacock-Farrell looks to be a very bright talent and could be the latest star to come off the Leeds United conveyor belt.

Over the years Leeds have developed a reputation for nurturing and producing young talent and everyone at the club as high hopes for the 19-year-old Goalkeeper. The shot stopper has already made one senior appearance for the club which came last season during a 1-1 draw against QPR, the youngman put in a very competent performance, only to concede to a late penalty.

Peacock-Farrell was handed the number 30 shirt for the 2016-2017 season but after the arrival of Robert Green he is further down the pecking order than before.

Lewie Coyle

20-year-old Coyle is someone who has been on the fringes of the first team squad for the past two seasons now, and it appears only a matter of time before he is gracing the famous Elland Road turf week in, week out.

Coyle predominantly plays at right back, but as he is most comfortable when going forward he can also be pushed into a more attacking winger role if needed. Coyle has made a total of 17 appearances for the Leeds United first team already, with 13 of those coming last season.

The Scotsman is clearly a huge talent and is someone who is rated extremely highly by all at the club. Under new manager Garry Monk he has already made four appearances this campaign, although only one of those has come in the league.
