Ipswich Town have had a fairly disappointing start to the season, picking up 3 wins from their opening fixtures, sitting 17th in the Championship table.

The Tractor Boys were hoping to push for a play-off place once again this season, after finishing in 6th and 7th place in their last two seasons, but Ipswich will have to pick up if they are to continue to finish in and around the top six.

Over the years, Ipswich have produced some decent players from their academy, with players such as Kieran Dyer, Darren Bent and Titus Bramble, who all went on to play Premier League football coming through the Tractor Boys academy.

In more recent years, the likes of Teddy Bishop and Luke Hyam have come out of Ipswich's youth set up and gone on to play for the first team at Portman Road.

The East Anglia based side have some great young players currently in their academy.

Andre Dozzell

Andre Dozzell is a promising product of the Tractor Boys' youth academy.

Despite having just 3 professional appearances to his name, he is already off the mark for Ipswich in terms of goal scoring, he opened his account on his debut in a 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday, aged just 16 years old.

Dozzell has played for a captained England at Under 16 and 17 level, as well as representing the Three Lions at Under 18 level too.

His only outing for Mick McCarthy's side this season came in the EFL Cup 1st round, in which Ipswich were defeated by League 2 side Stevenage.

Myles Kenlock

Myles Kenlock is an Ipswich defender who could have a big career ahead of him.

The 19-year-old has 5 first team appearances to his name, 2 of which coming in the Championship. His debut came in a League Cup win over Stevenage, which was followed up with an appearance in the next round away to Doncaster.

Kenlock's league debut came in Ipswich's 3-2 over MK Dons last season, and a week later he started again, in the Tractor Boys' final game of the season, a 1-0 victory at Derby.

The youngster is yet to make an appearance for Ipswich this season, however he has been on the subs bench for Mick McCarthy's men.

Josh Emmanuel

Josh Emmanuel is another promising youngster at Portman Road, joining the youth setup from West Ham United in 2011.

Emmanuel played in 7 matches for Ipswich Town last season, with 4 of those being league games. His professional debut for Ipswich was on the first day of the 2015/16 season against Brentford.

Also, last season, the 19 year old joined League 2 side Crawley Town on loan, but Emmanuel played in just two games, and Crawley lost both.

So far in the 2016/17 campaign, Josh Emmanuel has made 3 appearances for the East Anglia based side, playing in matches against Leeds, Huddersfield and Brighton.
