Fulham currently sit in a comfortable 14th position in the Sky Bet Championship table after eleven matches, scoring ten goals conceding thirteen, putting them on 14 points with just three victories.

The academy at Craven Cottage has produced a number of familiar names, who came through the ranks at the west London club.

Most recently is England and Manchester United centre-back Chris Smalling, who after captaining the Fulham development squad, made his senior debut for the Cottagers before moving to Old Trafford in the summer of 2010.

Another product of the Championship club is French striker Moussa Dembele. The 20-year-old scored 15 goals in 60 appearances for Fulham before joining Scottish Premiership champions Celtic in the summer.

The former Europa League finalists have been tagged with a reputation for producing under-21 players in the past, and one is already catching eye. Defender Ryan Sessegnon is just 16 and already has played 4 games for Fulham.

Anyway, here are my three Fulham Under-21 players who will be amongst the first-team before you know it.

Luca de la Torre

mitreeeeeeee

De La Torre is not a complete stranger to the first-team at Fulham. The 18 year-old midfielder trained with them in the summer and has already played one game for the Cottagers, starting in the EFL Cup first round 3-2 win against Sky Bet League Two outfit Leyton Orient.

He is more of an attacking midfielder, but can also play on the wing or in a holding position if needed. Luca de la Torre is definitely one of the future, following on from the tradition at Fulham for players from the United States of America.

The only out and out attack minded midfielder in the ranks of the first-team is Neeskens Kebano, but at the moment is struggling for game time. Surely it is just a matter of time before de la Torre finds himself a place on the bench at Craven Cottage.

Cameron Burgess

The Fulham Academy acquired the services of Cameron Burgess in 2011, moving from Australia but originally born in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Burgess is a commanding centre-back at six foot three inches and is not afraid to put in a tackle or two. The 20-year-old is able to play in the centre of defence or on the left if needed.

He and his family moved to Australia when he was a young age, and established himself as a first-team player at former club ECU Joondalup. Despite being born in Scotland, the defender has switched to playing for Australia on an international - already having seven caps for the under-23 national team.

Burgess made his debut for Fulham in the opening day 2-1 loss to Ipswich Town of the 2014/15 season but has spent time on loan away from Craven Cottage with Ross County and Cheltenham Town, and currently on a six-month loan deal with League One side Oldham Athletic.

Fulham fans rate Cameron Burgess very highly, but is yet to be given the game time he probably deserves.

Josh Smile

Smile is a central-positioned midfielder for the Under-21's at Fulham, someone who is very attack minded in possession and looking to make things happen.

The 19-year-old, who turns 20 later this month, made 20 league appearances during the 2013/14 season for the development squad at Craven Cottage and was an important player for the club's route to the FA Youth Cup Final that year.

In September 2014 Josh Smile signed his first professional contract with Fulham which tied him at the west London side until the summer just gone, before extending his deal at the Championship outfit until 2017.

It is thought the backroom staff rate Smile very highly and that he definitely has a future at Fulham. Although, if he continues to impress then there's no reason why the midfielder can't be amongst the first-team anytime soon.
