It has been a very active summer transfer window for new Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic, with the former Watford gaffer casting his eye over a huge number of arrivals and departures from the club over the past few weeks.

The club has seen a host of new talent enter the doors at Craven Cottage with players such as Michael Madl, Floyd Ayite, Sone Aluko, Denis Odoi, Tomas Kalas, and Scott Malone coming in and the likes of Kostas Mitroglou, Alexander Kacaniklic, Emerson Hyndman, Moussa Dembele, and Maarten Stekelenburg being shipped out.

A number of questions remain about who will still be with the Cottagers come the end of the transfer window, as Jokanovic continues to make changes to a squad that narrowly avoided relegation from the Championship last season.

Football League World writer Steve Day picks his THREE Fulham players that he feels would certainly benefit from a move away from the club this summer.....

Jesse Joronen

Jesse Joronen

It feels like Joronen has been around forever but, believe it or not, the Finnish international goalkeeper is only 23 years old and has only been a listed professional at Fulham since the 2010/11 season.

The young keeper has spent several loan spells at other clubs but now appears to be even further away from the Fulham first team than he was last season.

Loan stints at Maidenhead United, Cambridge United, FC Lahti, Accrington Stanley, and Stevenage have failed to result in Joronen being considered as a number one for the Cottagers.

It is the arrival of new keeper David Button from London rivals Brentford coinciding, with the apparent number one for the coming season in Marcus Bettinelli that appears to have Joronen confined to the reserves for this season.

He is still young but a footballer's career does not last forever. He needs regular first team football and he needs it now.

Matt Smith

Smith rose to football fame after Oldham's 3-2 win against Premier League side Liverpool in the 2012/13 FA Cup, where Reds manager Brendan Rodgers compared the burly front man to Didier Drogba.

It was a comparison that provided a shot in the arm for Smith's career.

The 6 feet 6 inch centre forward sealed a move to Leeds before moving on to Fulham and then experienced a successful loan spell with Bristol City in the 2014/15 season, that helped to get the Robins promoted to the Championship.

Smith played a reasonable amount of games for Fulham last season making 20 league appearances for the club, but he only managed to hit the net twice across those games.

It has resulted in Jokanovic looking to bring in more fire power in the form of Aluko and with the likes of Ross McCormack (for the time being) and Cauley Woodrow also at the club, it could mean Smith's game time is severely hampered this season.

Sakari Mattila

It may only be a year since Finnish international midfielder Mattila joined the Cottagers from Aalesunds FK for an undisclosed fee, but it could already be time for the 27-year-old to move on to another club.

The player appeared just six times for Fulham last season and Jokanovic has made moves to bulk up the centre of the park with the signings of Kevin McDonald and Michael Madl, adding to the already packed area of the pitch which includes Tom Cairney, Lasse Vigen Christensen, Ryan Tunnicliffe, and Scott Parker.

Speculation is still surrounding the potential arrival of further signings to add strength to the midfield area, and it seems that with every addition to the team the chances of Mattila enjoying regular first team football decreases even more.
