Due to the new rules which have come into play this season, clubs are not able to add to their squads outside of the transfer window due to the scrapping of the emergency loan system.
However, one exception to the rule is that managers can of course still sign players who are without a club.
One player who is currently out-of-contract is former Premier League forward Peter Odemwingie.
The former Nigerian international has experienced football in many different countries around the world, but he has made more appearances in the Premier League than any other division.
With 129 appearances in the English top flight, he has had his fair share of success including in the 2010/11 season where he finished as the 5th top scorer in the league.
But it is likely that at 35-years-old, he will have to drop to the Championship to find regular football.
