John Fleck’s impending switch to Sky Bet League One rivals Sheffield United feels like a gut-wrenching, heart-sinking kick in the teeth for Coventry fans.
Most City supporters were anticipating the depressing inevitability of Fleck’s exit after reported offers from Hull City, Sheffield Wednesday and his boyhood club Rangers. But a move to another League One club is a bitter pill to swallow and will take some getting over.
In the meantime, the Sky Blues will need to look forward and not dwell on the Fleck situation. A replacement is needed.
