Birmingham City midfielder David Davis was somewhat on the fringes of Gary Rowett’s squad last season but this campaign, he’s been a massive player in the middle of the park for the Blues.

The former Wolves man does a fantastic job anchoring the midfield and his no-nonsense aggressive approach seems to endear himself to the supporters at St Andrews.

He’s been given the berth to go forward a little more this season too and it’s paying dividend – he scored in their 3-0 crushing of Norwich last week.
