Birmingham fans will surely be eager to see what Garry Monk has planned for the summer window - providing they stay in the Championship.

The men from St. Andrew's are still far from safe right now but there is a sense of renewed optimism now that Monk is at the club that they will be able to avoid the drop.

Certainly, the squad has talent laced through it and they are only down there because they have underachieved, rather than simply being one of the worst sides on paper.

Come the summer, though, you can guarantee Monk will want to shake things up regardless and it looks as though some players are really walking a tightrope as to whether they'll be retained.

With that in mind, then, let's take a look at a trio on the edge...

Jason Lowe looked a decent enough signing from Blackburn Rovers but he has barely played all season.

You can't see him getting the minutes he needs to prove himself under Garry Monk, either, and so he could be on his way in the summer.

It's probably best for all involved but it is a shame because Lowe can be a useful player in midfield on his day.

David Davis is out of contract this summer and it looks as though, at the moment, it won't be getting renewed any time soon.

With that said, then, he could be on his way out despite featuring in a number of games this year. He's still got time to prove himself but you do get the feeling that Monk has already made his mind up with this situation and that Davis will be looking elsewhere.

Cohen Bramall has had a tough time with the Blues who haven't been able to afford him much playing time given their season and the way it has gone.

He's a decent young player but we've not really seen enough of him for a stay more permanently to be warranted and heading back to Arsenal is surely on the cards.

Even so, he shouldn't let what's happened knock his confidence too much.
