Wolves have always been a club who have been an attractive proposition for many professional footballers.

A solid infrastructure, especially with new owners in place, an excellent stadium, and spells in the Premier League make Wolves an excellent club to potentially join.

Over the years, they have had some excellent players at the club, players who have helped them to promotion or simply left a lasting impression at Molineux for one reason or another.

However, some players come to Wolves and simply do not perform, and end up being swiftly forgotten about.

This is more prevalent than ever when it comes to strikers, with many coming and going over the years. Wolves fans have high expectations for their front men, after successful forwards like Steve Bull, Kenny Miller, and Benik Afobe all proving top players for the club.

With this in mind, FLW writer Lee Connor looks at THREE of the worst Wolves strikers of the last decade...

Björn Bergmann Sigurðarson

Bjorn Sigurdarson

Signing for a fee in the region of £2.5m, Sigurdarson proved to be a bit of a flop for Wolves.

Less than 10 goals in a near four year spell at the club can never be recorded as a success, and he was also part of the team which was relegated to League One back in 2012/13.

With a decent fee attached to him, and such a poor goal return, the Icelandic striker will go down as one of the more forgettable front men for the club in the last few years.

Marcus Bent

The ultimate journey man striker only had a short spell with Wolves back in 2010/11, but despite only playing a handful of games, makes my list.

Bent was always a man with talent, but simply seemed to spend his career either chasing some money or causing trouble.

Wolves were just one club out of 16 Bent represented in his career, and even though it's hard to say his time at Wolves makes him a bad player, the fact he managed to get himself a move to such a good club when he had been so poor for so long, still amazes me.

Marlon Harewood

Many will even forget Marlon Harewood had a spell with Wolves, but like Marcus Bent, Harewood was simply a journey man who never lived up to his potential.

Harewood had a short loan spell at Molineux back in 2009, before he moved onto Newcastle United and did ever so slightly better in the same season.

Wolves fans will probably forget that Harewood ever had a spell, but he makes this list just for being another striker who spent his career jumping from club to club and making ludicrous amounts of money.
