Le Fondre has enjoyed prolific spells throughout his career at clubs such as Rochdale, Rotherham United and Reading before his promising career stalled after a torrid time at the the Bluebirds.

Loan spells at Bolton Wanderers and Wolves in recent seasons as well as being made to train with the under-21 development squad this summer is indicative of the failure of his time in South Wales.

Le Fondre has failed to take the opportunities given to him and has not fulfilled his potential since his arrival in 2014.
